Antique Firearms and Clockwork Gunmen
My noodle is full of whirring gears and twanging wires.
Metaphorically, I modest. Steampunk has been on my mind lately, as far as composition goes. Don't really know why. Perhaps it's the elements of alternate representation, science-fiction and even horror that go along with it.
Peradventure it's just because I like writing about Captain Nemo. Anyway, it's absolutely NOT because I look good in a waistcoat. Which I do, but that's not the pretext.
Regardless, it's an interesting concept...steam-power vs ardour, clock-work against coal, robots with thump-card AI dressed like butlers.
Other than the Ulrich Popoca stories (finished 'The Uncanny Affair...Martian Engine' by the way) and the two Mr. Temerity stories ('Mr. Brass & the Crimson Skies of Kansas' and 'Mr. Gall & the Dragons of Mars'-both of which will be appearing in A Thousand Faces Ammunition sometime soon) I haven't done much with the concept. Dialect mayhap some one off stories are in order...hmmm. Okay, I've got some labour to do, but here's some links for y'all to enjoy:
