Canon 40D AF Test with Canon 100-400 and Kenko 1.4X Teleconv
Some say the Canon 40D will not AF with their f/5.6 lens and a teleconverter. *My* 40D does effort with *my* Canon 100-400 lens at 400mm f/5.6 and *my* Kenko 1.4X teleconverter. The betray demo 40D also worked with my lens and teleconverter, which is why I proceeded with my position. Some people are not as fortunate. They find their f/5.6 lens does not toil with a 1.4X teleconverter and the 40D, although their optics may industry with their older 20D or 30D. I have no explanation for this but remind people that Canon explicitly disable AF on their consumer in control ready for of cameras when fitted with lenses/optics slower than f/5.6.
